Who is in control?
Realize I’m not God. I admit that I am
powerless to control my tendencies to do the wrong thing and that my life is
unmanageable.
Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the
poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Are you capable of
being honest with yourself? What parts of you life do you act like God/ what
parts of your life are you powerless to control. If we admit this God he will
help us do what we can’t do alone. He will bless us for being honest. The
kingdom is not something earned. It is more a gift than a reward. Paul the man
that God wrote most of the New Testament through wrote this. Romans 7:14
We know that the law is spiritual; but I am
unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I
want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. Sounds like me.
Thank God He looks at us through Jesus
Christ, if we are Christians. 2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him
who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the
righteousness of God. Isaiah 61:10 I will
rejoice greatly in the Lord, my soul will exalt in my God; For He has clothed me
with the garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness.
Just think of all the gifts God has gave
us, the key is to know how to accept them. You have to have a relationship with
Jesus, to know Him. The closer you get to Him the more gifts you get.
2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we
are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves,
but our adequacy is from God. If I’m humble and know I’m not God, that He
made me, life is good.
1 John 1:5-7 God is light in
him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet
walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the
light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood
of Jesus, his son, purifies us from all sin.
Be honest with yourself, am I playing
God in my life, do I have the relationship with Jesus that I want. I’m the slave
not the master. God bless Pastor Norman
When life knocks you to your
knees, you’re in a good position to pray.
