Whats a Christian

1. The bible is the truth.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 1:20-21

2. There is only one God.

You believe there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder.

James 2:19

Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

John17: 3

How can you believe if you accept praise form one another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from the only God?

John 5:44

But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King. When he is angry, the earth trembles; the nations cannot endure his wrath.

Jeremiah 10:10

3. Everyone has sinned.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 3:23

4. The penalty for sin is death.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:23

5. Jesus died for our sins.

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--whom I am worst.

1 Timothy 1:15

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

 Romans 5:8

For what I received I passed on to you as of 1st importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

6. Salvation is God’s gift to us.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

This if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Romans 10:9-10

7. God’s salvation is offered to everyone.

I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

Romans 1:16

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9

8. Your only part is to receive Gods gift.

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become the children of God.

John 1:12

To be saved you need to believe the word of God as whole truth, that there in only one God and Jesus his son, that he lived, suffered for you, died for you and was raised from the dead and is alive. It is only by faith in believing, by trusting in Jesus Christ as your Savior and confessing your sin and need to be saved. It is a free gift offered to you from God your father who loves you. There is no other way.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.

John 14:6

A Christian is a believer that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the Living God and lives like it.
