In Honor

of

Fallen Friends

May you rest in peace.

2 Cor 5:8 ---Therefore we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.   Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

                                                Elisa J. Chapman, 48

Elisa Chapman died at home August 3rd after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Elisa was born and raised in Syracuse, New York and attended Long Island University; where she received her Bachelor's degree. She moved to Coeur d'Alene in 1991. In 2000, she married Bob Chapman in Coeur d'Alene.

Elisa enjoyed riding her 1940 Indian motorcycle and was involved in the motorcycle community. She was a member of both ABATE and Northwest Classic Motorcycle Club. Elisa loved the outdoors and enjoyed working in her flower gardens; but was happiest with the wind in her face riding her motorcycle or camping on the shores of one of our beautiful lakes.
Her father Elias Burwick preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Bob Chapman of Dalton Gardens; step-son Josh Chapman of Post Falls; step-daughter Kori Daugherty of Columbus, Georgia; her mother Trudy Artini of Syracuse; brother John Burwick, sister in law Karen Burwick and niece Emily Burwick all of Jamesville, New York; sister Jill Burwick of Los Angeles California; and many other family members throughout New York and Massachusetts.

The family would like to acknowledge Hospice of North Idaho and thank them for their compassion and support during a difficult time and ask that in lieu of any flowers, please donate to these tireless angels: 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, Idaho 83835.

God saw you getting tired

When a cure was not to be,

So he closed his arms around you

And whispered, "Come to me."

You didn't deserve

What you went through,

And so he gave you rest.

God's  garden must be beautiful,

He only takes the best.

And when I saw you sleeping

So peaceful and free from pain,

I could not wish you back

To suffer that again.
